These Nuns Stole $500000 From Catholic School To Gamble In Las Vegas

Apparently, these longtime nuns of St. James Catholic School in Torrance knows nothing about “Thou shall not steal” from the Ten Commandments. The two nuns reportedly stole about $500,000 from the Catholic school to go gambling in Las Vegas.

According to an online report, Bank records revealed that Sister Mary Margaret Kreuper and Sister Lana Chang were embezzling from the school for at least 10 years.

From further investigation, it was found that the two gave some of the stolen money back to the school, while the rest of it was used for ‘personal purposes’.

Whatever the case may be the church is said to be not pursuing criminal charges after the nuns showed remorse. But, not everyone is happy with the decision. Some Parents of the school’s students were outraged for not taking the necessary disciplinary actions.
