Star of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale, Luke Perry, Died Just At The Age Of 52

Known for his roles in “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Riverdale”, actor Luke Perry died on Monday at the age of 52. Perry suffered a massive stroke on February 27 and passed away five days later due to several complications. Paramedics responded to a call at the star’s home in Sherman Oaks, California, on February 27 morning, according to TMZ. He had been shooting scenes for Riverdale at the Warner Bros film lot in Los Angeles before taken to the hospital. Following the news of Perry’s death, Riverdale has stopped production.

Perry died surrounded by his family and friends. A statement from Perry’s Publicist Arnold Robinson read, “He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

Riverdale’s executive producers, WBTV and the CW network, said in a statement that Perry was “a beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros and CW family”. “Luke was everything you would hope he would be, an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time.”
