An Instagram live video Cardi B made three years ago has resurfaced and some fans are unhappy with what they hear. The video has brought about many speculations and unhappy fans. In the video, the rapper claims that during her days as a stripper she lured men to hotel rooms for sex but then drugged them and robbed them instead, in order to “survive”.
“I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f*** me? Yeah, let’s go back to this hotel.’ And I drugged niggas up and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do,” she said in the video. After the video resurfaced, Cardi addressed the video in a post on Instagram.
There are many rappers who have a criminal past and Cardi says “There are rappers that glorify murder violence drugs and robbing. Crimes they feel they had to do to survive,” she wrote. “I never glorified the things I brought up in that live I never even put those things in my music because I’m not proud of it and feel a responsibility not to glorify it.”

Stop pointing fingers and take full accountability. Apologise to the people that saw that disgusting video and the victims. Your publicist should have known better.

The indication that you HAD to drug and rob men to survive is an example of the sympathy you use to manipulate public perception. You continuously use the hood as a reasoning for your wrongs instead of taking accountability for them. #SurvivingCardiB https://t.co/WUiHDhDDHD
